Dafoe's persona by contrast is appealing, esp. due to his (justified) artistic tendencies, a pretext for aesthetic interior settings -"Dance" by Matisse can be spotted during a fit of giggles. Later the storyline swerves off the beaten path with a couple of crushing failures for our cops, but not without good entertainment value (engaging car chase & final showdown). Good epilogue as well

作为反思战争的电影，反而不是带来希望，而是更沉重的现实，也许战争之后还有更残酷的岁月要度过，灰烬与废墟一望无际，而打开天窗又能否真的看到钻石般闪耀的光芒？被部分影像呈现的构图所震惊，分裂破碎的画面，暧昧疏离的关系。耶稣像、诸多符号复杂交汇，但历史也许本来就是主观的。
